We’ve been introducing you to the incredible artists in the 2026 Downtown Smiths Falls Music Festival lineup… and we’re tired of waiting to reveal our headliner.

The Downtown Smiths Falls Business Association is thrilled to announce that this year’s festival will be headlined by The Trews!

“The achievements of rock ‘n’ roll heavyweights, The Trews, are many and mighty, highlighted by multiple radio hits from seven critically acclaimed studio albums plus several EPs, two live records, and a retrospective. Comprised of lead vocalist/guitarist Colin MacDonald, lead guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, drummer Theodore McKibbon, and keyboardist Jeff Heisholt, The Trews have been one of Canada’s most successful rock bands of the past decade, earning 20 Top 10 Rock radio singles (including three #1’s) and multiple Gold & Platinum certified albums. The band has also received multiple East Coast Music Awards, a CIMA Road Gold Award, an Independent Music Award (US) in 2009 for Best Rock/Metal Song, and numerous JUNO Award nominations.

The Trews have played thousands of shows worldwide, both headlining and supporting acts including The Rolling Stones, KISS, Robert Plant, Guns ‘n Roses, Aerosmith, Weezer, Mumford & Sons, Bruce Springsteen, Switchfoot and more. Their 2003 debut album House of Ill Fame introduced their massive sound and produced the hit “Not Ready to Go.” Twenty years and a Canadian Platinum certification later, the songs still pack their original punch. The album was re-released as a 20th Anniversary Limited Edition Box Set on November 24, 2023.

Most recently, their single “The Breakdown,” released March 7, 2025, reached #1 on Canada Rock Radio, and their newest album, The Bloody Light, was released October 24, 2025.”

Hailing from right here in Smiths Falls, The One Eyed Dawgs are a powerhouse rock n’ roll cover band that bring high-octane energy to every show. From The Rolling Stones to Billy Idol, The Black Crowes to Simple Minds, their setlist is a nostalgic joyride through some of rock’s greatest hits — all delivered with raw passion and a whole lot of heart.

Formed in 2022, this dynamic group is made up of longtime high school friends and seasoned musicians from some of the area’s most beloved local bands. Whether they’re rocking the stage at the Smiths Falls Memorial Centre, The Lockmaster’s Taphouse, or summer music festivals, The One Eyed Dawgs have built a reputation as true crowd-pleasers. Even better, they often use their performances to give back — raising funds and supporting important community initiatives along the way.

Next up: Spencer Scharf 🎸🎶

“You know the Blues, it makes me feel alright,” sings Ottawa-based folk rock and blues multi-instrumentalist Spencer Scharf — and once you hear him play, you’ll probably agree.

A true one-man band, Spencer brings an entire musical toolbox to the stage. With expressive fingerstyle guitar, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, keyboard, harmonica, and smooth tenor vocals, he creates a rich, energetic sound that keeps audiences hooked from the first note to the last.

Inspired by the powerful guitar tones of Neil Young and Leo Kottke, Spencer’s genre-crossing style blends folk, rock, and blues with the upbeat spirit of bluegrass picking and the driving rhythm of Celtic strumming. The result? A lively, feel-good performance that’s full of personality.

Next up is @landonbedor — a 19-year-old singer, songwriter, producer, and guitar instructor from small-town Ontario. Blending country roots with a soulful rock edge, Landon’s sound has been turning heads ever since he was discovered by award-winning musicians at just 12 years old. Since then, he’s spent years in the studio crafting a style that’s entirely his own.

Landon recently completed the Music Business Fundamentals Certification Program through Berklee College of Music, giving him a strong foundation not only as an artist, but as a music professional. He’s also had the opportunity to share the stage with Jason Blaine, performing at the Jason Blaine Annual Charity Golf Classic in 2022 — and was invited back again for the 10th Annual Golf Classic in 2024.

With his debut release on the way, there’s no better time to get familiar with Landon Bedor — stay tuned!

Vicki Brittle is a Folk/Rock singer-songwriter from the Ottawa Valley, known for her distinct, unforgettable vocals and acoustic melodies woven through deeply reflective lyricism. Often referred to as an “old soul,” Vicki brings a memorable energy and presence to every stage she steps on. She has opened for acclaimed artists like Sass Jordan, Logan Staats, Jon Bryant, and Jeff Martin, and has performed at major festivals including Ottawa Bluesfest, CityFolk, and Festival of Small Halls. With the release of her second full-length album, The Hardest Things (August 2025), Brittle continues to prove she’s one to watch.

And now, she’s joining us Downtown again, to bring that magic!

This week’s fresh blanket of snow has us dreaming of warmer weather, sunny days, and epic nights… so for this #ThrowbackThursday , we’re taking it back to last year’s Downtown Smiths Falls Music Festival. ☀️🎶

2025 marked the inaugural year of bringing the live music scene that Smiths Falls is known for — and that’s such a staple of our community — out into the streets of the downtown core. Last September, we welcomed music lovers from across Smiths Falls and the Ottawa Valley for one unforgettable celebration.

It truly wouldn’t have happened without our incredible community sponsors, supporters, and volunteers — the real heroes behind the scenes — who helped bring the vision to life. And of course, a huge thank you to our amazing 2025 performers: Green House Revival, Claude Munson, River City Junction, One Eyed Dawgs, and our headliners The Road Apples. You made it an unbelievably memorable night — one that set the bar high for years to come.

This week’s fresh blanket of snow has us dreaming of warmer weather, sunny days, and epic nights… so for this #ThrowbackThursday , we’re taking it back to last year’s Downtown Smiths Falls Music Festival. ☀️🎶

2025 marked the inaugural year of bringing the live music scene that Smiths Falls is known for — and that’s such a staple of our community — out into the streets of the downtown core. Last September, we welcomed music lovers from across Smiths Falls and the Ottawa Valley for one unforgettable celebration.

It truly wouldn’t have happened without our incredible community sponsors, supporters, and volunteers — the real heroes behind the scenes — who helped bring the vision to life. And of course, a huge thank you to our amazing 2025 performers: Green House Revival, Claude Munson, River City Junction, One Eyed Dawgs, and our headliners The Road Apples. You made it an unbelievably memorable night — one that set the bar high for years to come.
